St. Theresa's Campaign for a New Parish Center
Dear parishioners of St. Theresa!
I pray that you are staying healthy and enjoying your time at home. I would like to give you a quick update on the progress of construction! As you can see by the pictures, our walls are going up! See the photo gallery below for all of the pictures.
We will be starting soon with the renovation inside of the old parish hall, since our religious education classes are canceled. Different parish groups such as hospitality and parish events are holding virtual meetings to work on the details for different parts of the project.
Also, we were able to expand St. Theresa property by purchasing two lots. After the consultation with the finance council of the parish and the Diocese of Richmond we have decided to proceed with the purchase. First lot is a small piece of public road right next to the hall (if you had parked in the past at the Parish Center – half of your car was on the public road). Price for the purchase of land from the town was: $9,426.00.
Second land we were able to acquire for St. Theresa is right across from our parish center. This will become our future parking lot. The price for this land was: $69,253.00 I am attaching picture with marked land purchases.
These purchases were not in our original project that we covered with Alive in Christ Campaign, which means that we will have to take a loan to cover the land purchases. We are currently applying for a loan through the Diocese of Richmond, we will keep you updated on the progress!
