My name is Tochi Iwuji (Tochi means to praise God). I am the youngest of seven children, born and raised in the Eastern part of Nigeria. I was ordained a priest on June 1, 2019, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart by Bishop Barry Knestout. A pastoral counselor with special interests in marriage, family, and finding ways to help my parishioners appreciate the beauty of the sacraments. My assignment to you as your administrator feels like coming home. I served the Central Virginia Catholic Cluster as a deacon in the summer of 2018. One of my favorite verses is Phil. 3:10: "That I may know him, and the power of His resurrection, and to share in His suffering." My role is to accompany you as we make our lives conformable to Christ in obedience to God and His Church. I am joyful to be among you, and with your cooperation, we shall flourish together as children of One Father.
I love biking, play tennis, learning to golf but certainly enjoy it, enjoy photography, and gardening. I have special devotions to the Blessed Sacrament, to Our Lady, and the Divine Mercy. Pray for Fr. Paul and myself that we may love God above all things and carry out our ministry in obedience to Him and the Church.
Fr. Paul was born and raised in the Philippines. The youngest among the nine siblings. Was ordained in the Priesthood November 29, 2012 in the Diocese of Sorsogon, Philippines and will be turning 9 years in the Ministry this year.
We arrived here in the Diocese of Richmond to offer our wholehearted service October 23, 2019. My very recent assignment was in St. Matthew, Virginia Beach VA. Last July 5, 2021, I moved here in Farmville after I received my appointment letter from the bishop.
I believed that it is not only the Diocese who sent me here, but it was likewise the Lord who commissioned me to work in this vineyard. It is always my joy and fulfillment to work effectively and dedicatedly to the people of God. I will make myself willfully available to serve all the ministerial and pastoral demands of the Central Virginia Catholic Cluster.
May God Bless us and all the works of our hands.
