o 4 Teams – One from each parish and one from Catholic Campus Ministries
o Maximum of 5 people competing for a team during a match
o 4 Teams paired in two semi-final matches
o Semi-winners meet for the cup
o Champions take possession of the cup for display at their facility
o Possession will last until the competition at next year’s picnic
o Rounds of questions from the Catholic catechism presented to each team
o One round of questions consists of one different question directed to each team
o Match consists of 10 rounds
o All questions directed to the team and not individuals
o Team answers, not individual answers
o Questions come from the 2nd through 6th grade levels of the Catholic Catechism
o Sample question: “What is the sign of the covenant that God made with Noah?
o Fr. Chris and Deacon Emmett are the arbiters of the answers
o Each team allowed three strikes per match
o First team to three strikes eliminated
o If each team reaches three strikes on same round, sudden-death rounds start
o If at the end of 10 rounds neither team has three strikes, team with the least
number of strikes wins the match
o If at the end of 10 rounds teams are tied, sudden-death rounds start
o Parish teams: Open to all parishioners of your parish
o CCM team: open to students of both Longwood & Hampden Sydney
